Colour Palette
Colour is a very important factor in conveying emotion, mood and tone. Whether you look to the shades of the season for inspiration, or you have a favourite colour in mind, choosing your signature wedding colours can be a daunting task.
Cool colours such as blue, green, turquoise and silver have a calming effect. While warm colours such as red, pink, yellow, gold and orange create excitement. By matching your favourite colours with a neutral colour such as black, white, brown, beige, ivory or grey, you can achieve something that not only looks good, but also captures the true meaning of your special day.

Black is formal, modern, sexy and sophisticated. Sometimes referred to as an 'absence of colour', it never seems to go out of style. Although usually paired with white, as the most versatile shade in the colour spectrum, black works well with most colours especially red, pink, yellow, green, gold and silver.
Red is the colour of love. It also symbolises passion, desire and power. In China red means good luck. In India it means purity. But regardless of the culture, red is not for the feint hearted..... but is a must for those wanting to make a fierce declaration of their heart felt desires.
Yellow is the colour of sunshine and is associated with joy, happiness, intellect and energy. Yellow suggests fun and spontaneity. Because it is also closely associated with the colour gold, yellow is sometimes used as a symbol of wealth.
Pink promotes feelings of caring, love, acceptance, self-worth and tenderness. It symbolizes femininity and fidelity. With pink being a combination of both red and white, it takes on the symbolism of both colours, as a harmonious blend of love and purity.
Purple is a mysterious and intriguing colour. It invokes a sense of luxury, elegance and sophistication and is often associated with Royalty, spirituality and magic.Well regarded by both the Christians and the Mystics, purple reigns supreme on any occasion.
Green is the colour of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness and fertility. Green tells of a new life or beginning, and is often the colour of garden weddings. Using multiple shades of green in a colour scheme, is also a popular way to incorporate an Eco-friendly theme.
Blue is the colour of the sky and the sea. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth. Like the heavens above, its subtle shades denote happiness and patience, while the dark blue hues echo the winds of change. A popular choice for seaside weddings.
