Consider engaging the services of a qualified Wedding Planner. At BVW&E the fee structure is based on 10% of your total budget. Hence, if you have a budget of $5,000 we will charge you $500. If your budget is $10,000 we will charge you $1,000 and so on. We save you money by negotiating the best deals on your behalf, passing the savings directly on to you. This means that you get our professional services included in your total wedding budget, saving you a lot of unnecessary stress and additional financial strain.

Consider getting married mid week. Most venues will have an off peak rate to entice potential business during slow periods.

Single location weddings where the ceremony and reception are located at the same venue, not only save on transport costs, but also give you more time to spend with your guests.

Wear an "evening gown" as opposed to a wedding dress. The dress making and dry cleaning is substantially cheaper.

Dress bridesmaids in gowns that they will be happy to wear again. The standard LBD (Little Black Dress) is a particular favourite that can be personalised with accessories and a splash of colour.

Consider serving the wedding cake as dessert. This will save on the expense of having an extra course at the wedding banquet.

Consider having a fake layer in your wedding cake. The polystyrene layer can be iced to match the real cake, giving the illusion of grandeur. Better still, under the right conditions, the fake layer will keep forever as a treasured memento of your special day.
